I have had several minor injuries there due to several car accidents so it seems to attract my tension. It’s worst when I’m over working myself, either physically or emotionally. It helps to know that’s where I tend to tense up first when I’m overwhelmed, though… If things aren’t going my way I check in to see if my jaw is tense and know that if it is, I probably need to adjust my attitude, so that I don’t bring that frustration into my interactions with others. Log in to Reply Intention on October 12, 2018 at 9:07 am My heart. I recently realized that when I’m open hearted by chest and shoulders are relaxed (a melting sensation), and tight when I’m not. It’s worse when I move through my day fast, on autopilot, when I’m least present. I sometimes notice I feel tight and then I realize I had been rushing all day and got caught up on getting stuff done. That’s when I forget to relax my body and end up tight.
