I know, though, that I’m fortunate to have support and not be as isolated or as optionless as a lot of people with invisible disabilities like mine are. I need to remember that I have a lot to be grateful for in my situation, too. I feel I’m expected to stay within my current field. Instead of trying to force that, maybe I can explore volunteer opportunities. Only yesterday I was approached to help as volunteer for a cause I’m interested in. I guess I could think of options to work for myself or of ways to create a job for myself based on my interests and ideas. In a way, this seems harder but it also makes me feel like I have more options. I’ll sit with this thought for a bit and see where it takes me!
